HEY! Going INSANE trying to
unlock your most creative brain? Hot tip:
YOU NEED
SOME
PLAY TIME.
Et voila: Creativity at Play.
a 90-minute brain-jostling playshop for people who CREATE for a living
Wednesday, October 13 at 1pm PT.
“Creativity is intelligence having fun”
—Smart dead guy
Feel like your brain is like NAH when you’re tasked with a creative project?
And yet BEING CREATIVE is literally YOUR JOB?
You’re supposed to solve some problem, come up with new product ideas, programs, designs, strategies (or even just ughhhh having to face the dreaded question: “What’s for dinner”? Answer: EAT ME IS WHAT.)
Well. The solution is simple:
You need to GET SOOOOME.
(Play time.)
Where you can jostle the creative juices
in that squishy supercomputer sitting in your skull.
Let’s get together for 90 minutes
of interactive activities
designed to get you out of funks,
see the flipside of fcked up situations,
and get your brain LIT UP and primed
to produce your most creative ideas yet.
Creatives:
When we’ve been through the shitshow that is 2020-2021, a lot of our mental resources are ZAPPED. Your energy flags, your muse gives you a big F U and you descend into an endless 📱 scroll and want to get into a hidey hole while feeling cranky AF.
This Creativity at Play workshop is your salve.
WHAT THIS IS
a series of science-backed brain-jostling exercises to rev up your creative engines and give you tools you can use again and again when you’re feeling stuck.
WHO IT’S FOR
people who’s livelihood DEPENDS on being creative:
entrepreneurs, marketers, designers, artists, leaders and employees who want to learn from failure, inspire creativity in yourself and those around you and generally have a more interesting and fulfilling LIFE.
WHAT YOU GET
In short:
More awareness and understanding for how YOUR brain works and how to make it work better—even when it’s being a cantankerous asshat
Repeatable exercises you can use to shift your perspective, overcome brain blocks and step into a solution-based mindset
90 minutes of interactive play that’ll leave you feeling fresh and inspired
A takeaway workbook with more tools you can apply on your own
New friends!
Play time!
Many yay!
WHAT TO EXPECT
I like to read the room and make adjustments as I go, so I don’t make set-in-stone activity promises. This is what happens when you’re in a workshop with a lass who was raised on an active volcano. But likely stuff like this:
Shitty Alien. (Encounter an ordinary object from an otherworldly perspective.)
Shitstorming (Turn a crappy thing into an awesome thing.)
Shitshow Ping Pong (Many words. No sense. All the joy.)
More good shit.
Why all the “shit?” Read the Q&A ;)
WHEN IT HAPPENS
Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1pm PT.
A perfect way to spend #HumpDay.
(And also #NationalTrainYourBrainDay)
To my European franz: Sorry I know it’s late come party? (Or you can play later with the recording)
WHAT IT COSTS
Register BEFORE OCTOBER 1 and it’s $42.*
Procrastinate and it goes up to $69.**
EZ DECISION.
*Why 42? Because it’s the answer to the universe. IYKYN.
**Why $69? Because funny.
Ultimately,
Creativity at Play
will leave you…
Ready to dive into those creative projects
you’ve felt stuck on foreverrrr
Equipped to tap your brain’s creative juices
even when the well seems end-of-the-world dry
(You’ll have access to a limited-time recording)
PLAYful and inspired. With new friends! Probably!
And PLAY is something we can all probs use more of.
In the words of one of my fave scientists,
Dr Stuart Brown (THE expert on Play),
“Once you stop playing, you start dying.
WHO’S LEADING THIS?
I’m Jocelyn, Neuroleadership certified Brain Coach and creator of Tiny Tips, the internet’s favorite way to Brain. I use applied neuroscience and behavioral psychology to help creative leaders and chronic overachievers unlock their brain’s superpowers so they can create what they most want before they die NO BIG DEAL.
I also bring my 13 years’ experience creating better strategies, narratives and communication between teams for multibillion dollar brands’ most important projects (like pitching and sealing their multimillion-dollar B2B deals, securing investor relationships and sending their first Super Bowl script out for production).
You may have seen me out in the wild as a speaker, edutainer, PeopleScience.com contributor, occasional film producer, surfer, standup comedy and storytelling show host, and former bartender, pooper scooper, palm pruner, cat trainer, fired agency marketer, and failed door-to-door Kirby Vacuum slinger.
FAQs
Does this workshop solve all my brain?
No, it does not solve all your brain. But it WILL help you understand brain better and make it a better friend when you need to create cool shit.
Will this be recorded?
Yes. But this is meant to be LIVE and INTERACTIVE. I’ll probs send off a missioon-impossible-ish “this recording will explode in X days” message post event. Get the goods while they’re hot.
If I sign up and can’t make it, are there refunds?
No, mate. Refunds are a pain in the ass to process. And this workshop is basically a steal. But I’m open to applying your pass to a future event.
Will there be this much swearing?
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Absolutely. Do not bring the swearing sensitivies and read this. It’s an article I wrote about how swearing is good for you. My dad hates it. (Just kidding. He changed his tune after I told him it was ME who wrote it.)
Are you bringing your internet-famous cat?
Thanks for asking about HER. Sookie will make it if Sookie wants to make it but her appearance is not guaranteed. Have you met cats?
Will I be expected to turn my video on and like, do stuff with HUMANS?
Er, ya. This is an INTERACTIVE event. I LOATHE Zoom meetings where we all faff around as the host Charlie Brown wah-wahs and will not have you suffer through THAT. There will be partner and group breakouts. But I do want you to have fun and feel comfortable so I’ll warm you up and ease you in. Probably.
